New Directions provides outpatient treatment programs: with both individual and group support therapy.
- Programs include a family member or significant other component, giving family members and significant others the opportunity to participate weekly in the services provided.
- Individual counseling is provided to each client, with additional counsel- ing on an “as needed” basis.
- Minimum of one Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, or outside support group meeting per week is encouraged.
In addition to work based on the twelve-step philosophy, New Directions programs include training and assistance in social and life skills such as anger management, stress management, dealing with grief and loss, and avoiding relapse. Daily living techniques, better nutrition, relaxation methods, understanding and improving sleep habits, spiritual development, and other important areas are covered.
The program’s scheduling options allow our clients to be employed while in treatment.
New Directions provides a coed outpatient program for those abusing substances but have not received a diagnosis of dependency.
- Adult Outpatient Program meets 2 times per week for 1 hour.
